A place for little smiles to grow & shine
Welcome to Barrington Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric dentistry in Barrington, with a little more heart
Some kids walk right in. Some need to hold your hand a little tighter. Some have approximately 47 questions before we make it to the chair. Here at Barrington Pediatric Dentistry, there’s space for all children and their individual needs (and questions).
We take the time to know your child, understand what helps them feel comfortable, and create visits that feel less like something to get through and more like a place where your family belongs.
Meet your pediatric dentist
Dr. Darin Chokdee
Dr. Darin Chokdee is a board-certified pediatric dentist, but she’s also a parent of two young children, so she understands that caring for little teeth isn’t always as simple as “brush twice a day.” Her advanced training includes a general practice residency and pediatric dental residency, with experience caring for children with special needs and those who may benefit from sedation dentistry.
She believes great pediatric dentistry starts with listening to both kids and parents, understanding what makes each child comfortable, and never rushing them into care before they’re ready. Her goal is simple: for every child to feel safe, special, and genuinely happy to come back.

Dentistry designed for childhood
The small things making a big difference
Your child is more than the teeth we see on an X-ray. We want to know what makes them laugh, what makes them nervous, and what they did over the weekend. That means taking our time, listening to parents, and creating an experience around the child in front of us.

A pediatric specialist in their corner
As a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Darin has advanced training specifically focused on caring for children, including kids with special healthcare needs and those who may need additional support during treatment.
Parents stay part of the picture
You know your child better than anyone. Parents are always welcome in the room, and we take time to understand your preferences and comfort level so we can care for your child in a way that feels right for your family.
Gentler ways to get the job done
We use minimally invasive techniques whenever appropriate, along with technology like the SOAN system designed to make injections more comfortable for kids. Sometimes the smallest details can completely change how a child remembers their visit.
Extra support when they need it most
Every child experiences the dentist differently. From sensory-friendly care and nitrous oxide to IV and general anesthesia options, we can adapt their experience when they need a little more time, comfort, or support.

A closer look
Because there’s more to a growing smile than teeth
As your child grows, we’re paying attention to more than cavities. With board-certified pediatric expertise, we can monitor their airway, breathing, and orthodontic development over time, helping you understand what we’re seeing and when something may need a closer look.
